What Dorms do we use?
4 Star Camps Dorms are located at the Hereford Residence College at the University of Virginia. We currently use Norris dorms which is located in the Hereford Residence College. Campers can request a roommate if they are coming to camp with a friend.
Where do we eat and what are our meal options?
Campers will eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Observatory Hill. On Tuesday night we have a pizza party back at our dorms and on Thursday evenings we go to the “Corner’ for dinner where campers get to pick what restaurant they want to eat at. At 4 Star Camps we strive to offer meals that are both nutritious and delicious. Each meal has a vegetarian option and each meal is supplemented by a buffet to help satisfy even the pickiest eater! Please note that 4 Star Camps can accommodate most dietary needs. If you have questions please contact the camp director at 800-752-5325 to be sure that your campers needs can be provided for.
What programs do you offer?
We offer five separate programming options: Academy Courses (morning), ACT and SAT Prep Courses (morning), Essentials Courses (afternoon), Tennis Camps (morning or afternoon), and Golf Camps (morning or afternoon).
What are your camp fees and dates for the upcoming season?

What is included with the Linen Package?
Sheets, towels and a pillow.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED IN WRITING AND ARE, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
If you cancel before April 1 all tuition fees will be returned less $250 per week.
If you have to cancel after April 1, for any reason, we will issue you a VOUCHER for all tuition fees paid, valid through the following calendar year. Your VOUCHER is transferable to any family member and may be used for any program that 4 Star Camps offers.
Full refunds will be given only with the purchase of Cancellation Insurance at the time of registration.

If you cancel 10 days before the start of your check in day then you will be given a VOUCHER for all tuition fees paid, valid through the following calendar year. What is the Cancellation Insurance?
4 Star Camps offers our camp families Cancellation Insurance for 5% of your tuition cost which is due at the time of registration.
Cancellation Insurance entitles you to a full refund of your camp tuition fees paid to date.
Please note: Your Cancellation Protection and Registration fee are non-refundable.
Without Cancellation Insurance, if you cancel after your final payment due date, we will issue you a camp voucher for your tuition payments made. Your camp voucher can be transferable to an immediate family member and can be used for any 4 Star camps programs.
For camps running in 2017, camp vouchers are valid through 2018.
Do I need Traveler’s Insurance as an international student?
We recommend that all international students to our camps purchase traveler’s insurance to cover any illness or injury while at camp. All International Students must have health insurance. How do I apply to camp?
4 Star Camps Admissions Standards
Students of all backgrounds have experienced successful summers with 4 Star Camps since 1975. The online registration process does not require high school transcripts or letters of recommendation. However, it is important for students to realize that with each 4 Star Camps program comes the opportunity to grow as a student in academics or athletics.
As you would expect all our instructors expect a lot from our students, and each 4 Star Camps program is founded on the principles of honesty, personal responsibility and the safety of our students.

The completed and signed online application form must be received with payment in order for the application process to be begin. We also offer online registration and that is the recommended form of application.

You may pay by check or money order payable to 4 Star Camps, by credit card (MasterCard or VISA only) or by wire transfer (please contact our registrar for instructions).
How does your payment schedule work?
If registering during our early registration period all payments must be received before the early registration dates end.
If registering between January 1-May 1st: $500 deposit for Academics Camps must accompany your online application. Balances will be due on April 1st.
If registering between January 1-May 1st: $250 deposit for Tennis or Golf Camps must accompany your online application. Balances will be due on May 1st.
If registering after April 1st: Full payment including application fee and all optional fees must accompany your application.
Tuition Payments are fully refundable only if tuition insurance has been purchased at the time of registration.
Will I receive a confirmation after applying?
Yes, you will receive by email a complete packet including your invoice, program confirmation and other forms/information.
We offer limited pickup and drop off to and from the Charlottesville-Albermarle Airport (CHO) during specific time periods for no extra charge. Pickup and drop off to and from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) can be arranged for an extra charge of $150 each way. . Please discuss travel arrangements with our registrar before making your plans.
We also offer transportation from the Manassas Courtyard Marriott. We pick up every Sunday at 1:30 p.m. and drop off every Friday at 1:00 p.m. Cost is $60.00 each way. Space is limited so please make arrangements with our registrar.
What other means of travel are available?
Charlottesville is also serviced by Amtrak and Greyhound-Trailways. We do offer a limited service to these stations during a specific time period for no extra charge (please discuss travel arrangements with our registrar before making your plans).
